George A. Fisher is of counsel to the firm of Stein, Mitchell &
Mezines. He received an A.B. from Yale University in and an LL.B
from the Georgetown University Law Center. He served as a Court Law
Clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the District of
Columbia Circuit, under appointment by Chief Judge Wilbur K. Miller,
1961-1963.
From 1963 to 1976, George was an associate
and later a partner in the law firm of O'Donoghue & O'Donoghue. He
was appointed Clerk of the United States Court of Appeals for the
District of Columbia Circuit in 1976, and served in that capacity
through 1987. For most of that time he also served as Clerk of the
Special Division of that Court for the purpose of appointing
independent counsels under the Ethics in Government Act of 1978. He
has been engaged in the private practice of law since leaving
government service. |
